I will say, given how long I resisted getting an account on this site's predecessor, I'm amused at myself to find I miss it.

Minim_Calibre and I have had many conversations about the rise of short-form (and image-based) social media + smartphones has led to a decline in long-form blogging/social media. Sure, phones and tablets make the interwebs portable, but very few people want to write massive posts on their phones.

(Next up on "old goth yells at clouds": I don't want video tutorials that I have to keep pausing! Written tutorials mean I can follow along without burning myself with the glue gun!)
