Me: CNN is reporting that "Canadian officials warn drivers not to let moose lick their cars"... *reads article, which says declining wolf populations means fewer predators, thus more moose* ... do wolves eat a lot of moose?

Him: Yeah. It's a good return on investment...

Me: It just seems... a bit ambitious.

Him: You get enough wolves together, they can take down a moose, and that'll feed them for quite a while. It's a good risk:reward ratio, any wolf MBA will tell you that.

Me: snrch

Him: Of course, they'll also try to outsource the hunting to, like, hawks or something...

As a Canadian, the admonishment to not "let" a moose do a thing it really wants to do has me scratching my head. Have any of these people even seen a moose?
